Correct use of roll

(1) The use of rolls is first to arrange a reasonable rolling plan. Within 1 to 2 hours after the roll is changed, arrange the specifications with low strength such as Q235B SS400 and small width (2500-3000mm) to preheat the rolls. This part of the steel plate is called the hot roll material; The larger width (3000-3500mm) is rolled for 1 to 2 hours. This part of the steel plate is called the transition material; then the normal specification (main material) is rolled, and the width is gradually increased from 3200mm to 4800mm. In the last 6 to 8 hours, the width gradually decreases. The overall width is arranged like a "turtle shell". Calculated with an hourly output of 200 tons.

(2) The cooling water for the roll body should be sufficient, and the water temperature should not be too high, preferably below 35°C. The cooling water should be appropriately larger at about 3500mm in the middle part. The water quality is guaranteed to be clean.

(3) After the roll rolls off the assembly line, it is cooled to below 50°C and then ground. And measure the surface hardness. While processing according to the required convexity, it is ensured that the work hardening is eliminated.

(4) Over-reduction rolling is strictly prohibited. Prevent accidents such as steel clamping and frame scraping. So as not to burn the rollers.

(5) It should be ensured that the slab is heated evenly, and the rolled piece should be prevented from upturning and buckling, so as to avoid damaging the surface of the roll.

(6) When the rolling volume is sufficient, the roll should be changed to avoid fatigue of the roll, which may cause peeling, meat loss, cracks, etc.

There are many factors that affect the use of rolls. Therefore, the use of rolls must be dynamically managed. Rolling plan, temperature, strength, roll shape, cooling and other factors are comprehensively considered. Roll management personnel should use advanced computer systems to record and analyze various information, continuously summarize and research, and develop new technologies suitable for use with 5m thick plates.
